Janet Dehmer, CT

Maybe your child is having a hard time expressing emotions, managing big feelings, or navigating changes in their world. Maybe you're carrying grief, stress, anxiety, or the weight of life's challenges and are looking for a place where you can feel supported. Whatever brings you to counseling, you don't have to face it alone. Therapy can be a space to feel understood, find hope, and discover the strengths you already carry.

Janet works with children, adolescents, and adults, helping clients navigate life's challenges with compassion, empathy, and support. She believes healing begins when people feel safe enough to be themselves, and she meets clients where they are while helping them build confidence, resilience, and meaningful connections.

Janet uses play and art to help them express emotions, build healthy coping skills, and grow in confidence in ways that feel natural rather than forced. With adolescents and adults, she draws on a person-centered approach along with grief-informed care, narrative work, and practical, goal-focused support. She always shapes treatment around each client's own story and what they're hoping to work toward.

Janet believes that sometimes the most meaningful thing we can offer another person is simply our presence. Her goal is to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and cared for as they work toward healing, growth, and lasting change.
